Snakes On A Plane Logo

Snakes on a Plane is still months away from release, but the oddly named film seems to be developing an almost cult like following already before anyone has even seen it. But who cares if we've seen it or not?!?! It's freaking Samuel Jackson fighting Snakes.... on a plane!!!!!

I'm amazed by how much of a fan frenzy is already being whipped up over this thing. But you've gotta admit it does look like good campy fun. And in the spirit of that fun we now present to you the logo for Snakes on a Plane. You can see a bigger version of it here. (via)

Remember when they were going to change the name of the film to make it sound less silly? Well now it seems like they've "Embraced the silliness". They changed the name back to "Snakes on a plane" and now with a logo like this, you can tell they've realized the "silliness" factor of this movie is what's going to make it a smash hit... so now they're playing off of it. And that's probable a good idea.

You know dogs that are so ugly that they're kinda cute? That's what this movie will be.

In response to the online fan community, the studio is adding more gore, nudity and snakes, and they are putting the line "I want these motherfucking snakes off the motherfucking plane!" in the movie!

The above Link is a clip from the Ellen show with Sam Jackson talking about snakes very briefly, but its a funny clip, talking about how he picked this movie to do.

Huh... They're hyping off the fact of how silly the plot is. That's not a bad idea! I guess the people who made this movie are smarter than I thought. Too bad Uwe Boll was complaining his usual bullshit to not play off this idea.

Hah, 'Snakes on a Plane' could beat 'Stay Alive' in the box office!

This could be the next big cult [movie] since Peter Jackson's 'The Frighteners'. On a related note; the quote "I want these motherfuckin' snakes off the motherfuckin' plane!" from Samuel Jackson is going to be in the movie. HELL YEAH! PARTY IN THE HOUSE!

I'll laugh so hard when this comes out, and everyone who is so worked up over it realizes that they really don't want to see "mother fucking" snakes, on a "mother fucking" plane, and instead stay home to watch people fight a "mother fucking" snake in the "mother fucking" jungle in Anaconda...

This film will either make all the money in the known world, or wont gross dollar one. My money (pardon the pun) is on the latter.

I hated the thought of this film at first, I even laughed at the idea of it. But the more and more I think about this movie the more I seem to get excited about it. It's in my list of movies I wanna see in 2006 alone with:

SUPERMAN RETURNS
X3
THANK YOU FOR SMOKING
SLITHER
SCARY MOVIE 4
THE DA VINCI CODE
PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN:DEAD MAN'S CHEST
LUCKY NUMBER 7
FIND ME GUILTY

Superman Returns and Snakes On A Motherfuckin' Plane. Hell of a year! I still won't believe that this movie exists until I'm at the cinema demanding my seat. Hopefully this will kick start a trend of really awesome exploitation flick style titles. I'd like any old shit if it had an amazing title. 'Faster Pussycat! Kill! Kill!' is amazing but if it was just called Racing Cars it wouldn't be half as good. Shit, if The Island was called The Attack Of The... hang on.
