Ford Says Indiana Jones 4 Ready To Shoot

First it's "almost ready", then "not quite ready", then "maybe sometime next year", then "we'll start sometime this year", then "Spielberg is going to take a year off", and now Harrison Ford seems to be confusing things even more.

According to our good friends over at M&C;, Harrison Ford confirmed to a German magazine that he, Spielberg andLucas have finally all given the green light to the script and they are ready to start shooting "soon".

If (and that's a VERY BIG "if" at this point) this is true then let the celebrations beging. But to be honest, there have been so many conflicting reports being shot around about the status of Indiana Jones 4 that I've just stopped listeneing. I won't believe it until the first day of shooting starts. I'm so jadded.

By the time they make the film Harrison will be so old it will be called "Indianna Jones and the Escape from the Old Peoples Home". Watch Indy walk without the aid of a walking frame! Will Indy pee in his pants? Stay tuned for the next exciting preview.

I'm rapidly losing interest in this film. It's a shame too, because "Raiders of the Lost Ark" is one of the best action films ever made.

I wish Harrison Ford hadn't submarined his career.

Honestly, I felt Last Crusade ended it all pretty well - I don't know if I really want to see Indiana Jones 20 years older, it's just not going to be the same...

Yeah, they pretty much exhausted everyone's expectation concerning this movie. They've been teasing us for the last ten years. I'm suprised anyone still cares.

No.

No, no, no, no, no.

Don't spoil it: quit while you're ahead. This is the message that the brains of the Indiana Jones franchise should be receiving. Years and years ago, last century in fact, there was a film trilogy that shaped the face of action-adventure motion pictures. This was called the Indiana Jones trilogy. It is obvious that these movies are some of the best in history, and I think it's clear that the road ended long ago. It's a no-brainer, really. Indiana Jones has had his moment in the sun, and now it's time to move over. I believe that when a film franchise brings out a DVD boxset, it's clearly time to stop making movies of the same name. Indiana Jones is a household name internationally recognised by six billion people whether they be white, black, male, female, gay, straight, short, tall, fat or skinny. That's enough! No more, please!!

I think it's quite feasible that the fourth one could be a flop. Especially if they use Harrison Ford again, which I guess they undeniably should. But truth is, he's about ten thousand years old now and making seen-it-all-before Hostage-style movies. You can't seriously expect him to give IJ the same heroic personality again?? How is he supposed to fight bad guys when he is almost walking around with a cane? No disrespect to Harrison, I mean I think he's quite simply at legendary veteran status, but I seriously doubt he still has enough fire in him to be Indiana Jones again.

It was time to wrap it up once and for all twenty odd years ago. Don't spoil it.
