Brett Ratner To Direct Wolverine Movie?

In a recent interview with MTV, Vinnie Jones (who is playing Juggernaut in X-Men 3) seemed to suggest that both he and director Brett Ratner may be back for the Wolverine film. Here's what the good folks over at AICN reported:

"I said this to Brett the other day, and he was saying that they'll probably use a lot of the characters," Jones said, implying that the director will also return alongside star Hugh Jackman in "Wolverine." "Hopefully [the Wolverine/ Juggernaut rivalry] will come into it. There might be something for me and him to get together."
The article goes on to say that early screening reports coming out of X-Men 3 are actually looking positive (shock!). Who knows, maybe this thing will work after all... and Ratner coming back for Wolverine may actually be a GOOD idea (I doubt it... but it is looking possible).

They're making an X-Men movie about Wolverine using "a lot of other characters"? How is that any different from the first two X-movies? Wolverine was always the star anyway. It's a little bit daft if you ask me. Obviously it's just a marketing gimmick.

I really hope the Wolverine movies goes way back to his roots, or at least to Alpha Flight! that dude from Station Agent would be a great Puck!

But this sounds like wishful thinking on Vinie Jones' part really, sounds like he was given a vague answer by Ratner and turned it around. Ratner Directing does sound legit and I think it would be great, cause from what Ive seen X3 looks pretty badass.

when did wolverine and juggernaut have a rivalry. i think a wolverine movie that is a prequel to the x-men would rock!

May Tyler Mane return as Sabretooth?
Kelly Hu as Deathstrike? (I want to see more Kelly anyway, call it favoritism)

There's a character named Cyber; I'd like to see a new character make the rounds.

Sabretooth has to return. i cant see much of a point to this if they dont address the history of these rivals. they didnt even get much of a fight in the first movie.

nord,

i didn't think it was a silly question, as far as i'm concerned there are no silly questions, just the ones that don't get asked. but hey, thanks for being so helpful.

No No

Thank you for being so helpful my 1st grade teacher, however, when I was in the 1st grade there was no such thing as www.google.com, and that saying was very applicable.

But, being the year 2006, there IS something called www.google.com, and therefore, there are plenty stupid questions, sprung from the seeds of laziness and ignorance.

Go to google, type in 2 words, "Wolverine" and "Juggernaut" and tell me that wasn't a stupid question, nevermind the fact you only need to have been a casual comic book reader to know that in the first place.

I will say though, I do feel quite helpful this time around, do people really not know about google? opps, silly question, I will just google it to find out and not waste everyones time reading stupid questions.

Nord is wrong.

If you don't know something... then ask. It's as simple as that. The only ignorant people in the world are those who don't ask questions.

Yes you can look it up on Google... but..

you can also post a question in the Movie Blog comments section where other film fans are more than happy to be helpful.

Don't mind Nord's brain hiccup. He's usually very helpful.

I shall now punsih Nord.

"Bad Nord!! Bad Bad!!"
