Best Fan Lightsaber Fight I've Ever Seen

This little video is just amazing. It's basically 2 KIDS (no really... KIDS) who pull off one of the best lightsaber fight videos I've ever seen. It's amazingly well shot, nicely edited, the sound editing is almost flawless, the lightsaber effects are sharp and the fight choreography with fantastic (did I mention this was all done by KIDS?!?!?!). And it's not some 30 second fight either. This things runs about 5 minutes long!

Seriously, you should go check this thing out. I applaud these guys for what they pulled off. You can check it out here.

And when you see it... forget for a minute about the lightsaber fighting (although that'll be tough), the shots and editing in this thing are really impressive for a couple of young guys.

Yeah I saw this a few years ago...one of the kids (now older) actually works for Lucasfilm in the SFX department or something...he's got loads of interesting films and stuff...

Pretty groovy!

Wow. That was better than all of Episode III.

There's a few of these films.. the other ones are about 30 seconds long. All in all, wicked awesome.

Yes I agree that one is very good. Has anyone ever seen "Art of the Sabre"? That one is just as good, and IMHO it's a little better (the music gortoz aran gives it the edge, what an amazing song, it's also in blackhawck down). Dichotomy, and duality are 2 others that are amazingly good. And Troops is kinda funny. I'm going to try and find the link to all of these shorts, but if someone knows it pleas post it, I seem to have misplaced it.

Wow...I would have paid for that instead of Episodes I-III.

But NO! George had to have his fight on LAVA! It just shows what can be "simply" done as opposed to Lucas' over-use of CGI

Outstanding - Still prefer Calvin and Cary Ho's fight though.

It is funny though that in these movies a couple of dopes off the street can come up with stuff that puts Lucas to shame. God Bless Lucas for giving us the SW Univers, but I'll dance in the street the day he turns into a blue glowie and passes on that franchise to some one else who will put it to good use.

Yeah, this has been out for a few years over at TheForce.Net. Ryan went on to work at LucasArts (when he was like 18), and was responsible for some of the animations and effects on Republic Commando. Unfortunately, he was laid off about a year later due to downsizing. Dorkman, from what I hear, is busy with film projects of his own.

Yeah, that Ryan W guy is really very well known amongst us saber movie makers. He's REALLY good!

That ending was great.

WOW! That was GREAT! Now THAT'S how you do an epic lightsaber duel. I hope we see more of this!

Thanks for the link - that was tres cool.

Pretty good...But I still like the asian guy's "art of the saber" movie a little more cause it was serious.
