Vince Vaughn is Fred Clause
Ok, this sounds hillarious.... even if not totally original. Looks like the Wedding Crashers team of director David Dobkin and Vince Vuaghn are teaming up again, this time in a Holliday movie about Santa's lesser known brother "Fred Clause".
Yes, it does sound a bit like a Bad Santa rip off... but I don't care. I think this has "classic" wirtten all over it (It should be pointed out that I've said that before and been TOTALLY wrong). Doug once said it best "Vince Vuaghn is Oprah for men, and I'm ready for my dose.
A project like this also really lends itself to the Frat Packs trend of lots of cameos by each other. I suspect we'll see Wilson brothers, Stiller, Black, Ferrell all in there at some point too. Maybe Ferrell could appear as an elf. Now THERES an idea!

Augh! Augh! Augh! Ever since that stupid Tim Allen movie, people have been doing the same thing you just did. He is Santa CLAUS. NO E. That Tim Allen movie's title was a PUN because there was a legal CLAUSE locking Tim Allen's character into becoming Santa CLAUS.
So, one more time. The "jolly ol' Christmas elf" is Santa Claus. The mediocre Christmas movie starring Tim Allen [though it is arguably his best Christmas flick] is The Santa Clause. Notice: the "e" is only in the Tim Allen movie's title.
Seriously.
