And I'm glad that you're glad jasper!!!!!

Hollywood...How predictable. We should expect falling rocks of plasma and fire on that rotten piece of land anytime now....

It would appear to the be most politically correct, agenda driven slate of award winners that they have ever pushed. Whatever happened to the really great movies that didn't try to impose their views on middle America?

Sigh!

I don't agree with a few of the awards given out. I don't think Brokeback deserved best picture of the year. I think that title should have belonged to Crash which wasn't even nominated. I can understand why it didn't win but why didn't win best screenplay is beyond me. Best director was Ang Lee which I agree with. Best actor should have gone to Heath Ledger. I hate Heath Ledger but his performance in Brokeback is in my top three greatest performances by an actor ever. I think there should be a ctegory seperation for playing a character based on a real person. Then phillip seymour hoffman can have his award for talking like judge doom in who framed roger rabbit.

The way the post is written, it is a little hard to read. But...

I think they mostly got it right. Brokeback is way too overrated. I wouldn't have picked it to win n any of the categories it did, but otherwise:

1) Clooney over Giamatti? Please.

2) I was so happy to see LOST win best TV show (drama).

3) Rachel Wiesz looked like crap.

4) Kate Beckinsdale looked... I'm speechless.

5) This category was SO tough this year - any of them could've won and I would've agreed:
Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture - Drama
Russell Crowe – Cinderella Man - Amazing
Philip Seymour Hoffman – Capote - Amazing
Terrence Howard – Hustle & Flow - Amazing
Heath Ledger – Brokeback Mountain - Amazing
David Strathairn – Good Night, And Good Luck - Amazing

6) Spielberg should've taken home Best Director.

7) I really wish Crash had won something.

8) I already mentioned my favorite, Beckinsdale, but oh my God are there so many beautiful women in Hollywood right now or what!!?

"Clooney over Giamatti? Please."

I agree. Not that Clooney is the better actor or not; but simply due to thee small, little known fact that Clooney had the lead in his picture. Didn't he?

Anyway, I'm glad that "Walk The Line" did some business.

Best acceptance speech: Steve Cavill.
2nd Best: Hugh Laurie.

Best presenter/announcer: Queen Latifah
2nd: Eric Bana & Kate Beckinsdale

Best dress on a gal that gets me h-o-t : Keira Knightley, (2) Teri Hatcher

Worst acceptance speech: Ang Lee

Worst Presenter: Pamela Andersen.

Worst Dress: Maria Carey, We Don't Belong Together.

kind of creepy, when the were announcing the best supporting actor i was like "paul giamatti's gonna win, he's gonna win, he's gonna win" and clooney won, and i was like "i thought paul giamatti was gonna win" and then clooney got on stage and was like "i thought paul giamatti was gonna win. did anyone see george later on with the shot glass in his eye? HAHA that guy cracks me up..him and brad pitt.
i knew that walk the line would get everything in the musical/comedy section. i thought charlize theron had a good chance at winning but maybe thats because i've got such a crush on her. and i knew knew knew that phillip seymour hoffman would win. i was hoping for russell crowe too.. other than that i think the globes went really well. p.s. keira knightley looked like a FOX!

ooo AND i thought that CRASH should have won best screenplay.
And where the hell was Jake Gyllenhaal?!

Sorry to pull away from the actual MOVIES (this IS the MOVIE blog!) but I'm glad Steve Carell won for The Office....His portrayal of Michael, the boss, is absolutely hilarious...He's great and it's good to see him gaining popularity...

OK, back to movies!
