Gillian Anderson wants X-Files 2
Gillian Anderson is saying a new X-Files movie is looking very likely.
The story is all over the NettyWeb at the moment, I caught it at Moviehole:
"David [Duchovny] and I and (creator) Chris Carter are determined to do it," Anderson said.But due to certain rights issues, "it's become a bit messy. I think the intention is that we will and we hope to - and that, hopefully, by the time we actually do, whenever that is, people will still give a damn."
Would you be looking forward to a new X-Files movie? I would be if either one of these conditions are met:
- The movie is the final one and ties the X-Files stories together with a completely closed ending explaining all
- The movie leads onto a another, or a series of movies, which explains all and closes the stories off forever explaing all
That's the only way I could see it. You?

im in the dont close the ending boat. as x-files progressed on t.v. and the more they tried to make sense of the whole conspiracy and alien thing, the worse it got. the lameness is out there. the early x-files were so much better because they didnt need to close things up. i dont think i've seen a t.v. show that is ever closed up satisfyingly. much better to leave em wanting more.

I want them to make a new movie every three years!!!! Gillian Anderson in a swimsuit!!!!! Lance Hendrickson can also get some action from a Millenium tie in...as long as it is dark mysterious and has an ever unfathomable unravelling mystery that no person could ever figure out!!! Oh yeah and D.Duchovny goes out with an alien chick that turns green when he's having a private moment with her!!!!
All you guys that say you want an ending that ties everything togther have a flatulence fetish and you secret like all of the CARE BEARS CARTOONS!!!!!!!

Oh FRESH AIR OF LIFE!!! i am a rock solid die hard fan of the series and want this movie made... but i also want it to be a final, closing, climactic sort of story. Not the second.
I'm no x-phile... but i kinda need this to tie up a part of my adolescent life that was put on hold nearly 5 years ago.
this movie should have been done back then. but this isnt a perfect world.
