Horrors of War trailer online

The trailer for Horrors of War is now online at their official site, along with photos from the shoot which completed on December the 1st.

Feeling the pressure from Allied advance, Hitler unleashes his secret weapons. This movie follows a wayward soldier during World War II in the European theatre as the O.S.S. sends him to investigate Hitler's arsenal of experiments.

...is how the official site describes it, and although I can't see this trailer just now, I saw one some time ago and it looked pretty freaky. The official site has allsorts of goodies on it from the official trailer to online clips, behind the scenes and the photo gallery. Wads to feast your eyes on.

Thanks to Movies Online for the heads up.

I've spoken with the filmmaker, Sonnyboo, a number of times. I met him gaming online. He's a pretty cool guy. It took him a long time to get this done and put a lot of hard work into it. Way to go Sonnyboo!

Hoo boy. I liked this better when it was called "Return to Castle Wolfenstein" or "Medal of Honor".

Props to the guy for getting a movie made, but this still looks terrible. I mean, when the trailer is that boring/poorly edited- you can bet the movie isn't far behind.

I haven't seen such bad acting in a while, who directed this George Lucas?

Posted by: crackerjack at December 23, 2005 01:27 PM

There's another director named George Lucas? Wow!

Posted by: Simone at December 23, 2005 02:39 PM

Sorry I was just kidding Simone, besides this film has makeup effects instead of CG effects so it couldn't be the George Lucas.

Oy Crackerjack, I was just showing you that I am back to my old form, laughing and making jokes. I knew you would come back anyway! How have you been eh? Regards to the missus okay?

I dont think this film looks that good at all.

Good to see you having fun again and I will try to keep the cursing down. Sorry to be gone a while, moved with the wife and was waiting for DSL, dial-up is so slow. Hope you are alight with the holliday spirits, I myself am fighting a cold, I better not be sick on Christmas day. Sorry to rip on Lucas, I will try to lay off the man.

Cool premise, but seriously low-budg looking. Horrible dialogue, acting, editing and effects. I think someone went to the Uwe Boll School of Film Making.

LOL @ Crackerjack. Getting used to married life then eh? So where is home for you two now, youre in the US am I correct? Take lots of fluids for that cold, and lots of rest.

As for the thing on Mr. Lucas, nah dont worry, keep at it, I am immuned to all the Star Wars/George Lucas backlash by now. *winks*

We are now residing in Sedona, Arizona, if you have never been you should. Married life isn't that different so far, we lived together for just shy of 3 years so we are used to it. Sedona is a great place but not much for a movie theater, I guess I will stay home and watch more dvds now.

Never been to the US at all, I'll give you a shout if I do visit. ;-)

I do like George Lucas, but I think he's kinda a sucky director. The movie is meant to be a B-movie, and yes it was low budget. I appreciate the honesty.

co-director/writer/producer of HORRORS OF WAR.

Good effort, but why didn't you guys contacted a REAL producer who could have brought in a REAL director. This could have been a second 'Shaun of the Dead'. Now it just like a bad filmstudent version of Rob Green's The Bunker.

Peter-

Thanks for posting and listening to our "brutal" honesty.

I'd be interested in hearing your take on some of the comments. I.E- How did you decide to cut the trailer? What were your limitations in gathering "talent"?

Again, props for having the wherewithall, persistance and just plain balls in making the movie you wanted- I have a lot of respect and admiration for what you've done in that respect. While we snark, you're out fulfilling the dream-- budget/acting talent or not.
