Fantastic Four 2 admission

FantasticFourGroupPic.jpgWho'd have thought (apart from the entire Internet) that there was going to be a sequel to The Fantastic Four? Well there is and the news is it's due out in 2007 and without Dr Doom.

Yes, according to the news from The Hollywood Reporter through Cinematical, the entire cast is set to return excluding Julian McMahon - do you think that perhaps he's the only one that had the good fortune to bow out after one? - but don't fear, Alba will still be here. So what else is there?

...the release date is a not surprising July 4, 2007, exactly three years after the original was schedule to come out (though it was eventually pushed back a week because of a very reasonable fear of Tom Cruise). Third, director Tim Story and writer Mark Frost are back. There is still, however, no confirmation of villains...

Who could they be? Well frankly they could still have Dr Doom and just chuck anyone with a deep voice and an ability to wear a mask while posing with arms outstretched. Not hard. I could do it!

If the Nip/Tuck actor isn't coming back, I say bring Doom back with a new (better) actor, more story. Unless of course, there was a deal worked out where the FF has to save the planet from this giant gladiator like guy named Galactus and may get a bit of help from the Silver Surfer.
