Audio Edition - December 9th 2005

Today on The Audio Edition Doug and I discuss Arnold Schwarzenegger's political woes and the fact that some California republicans want to replace him with another non-US born Hollywood star Mel Gibson, the movies that most use the "F" word, Guillermo del Toro saying he's giving priority to Hellboy 2 over Halo the movie, more commercials for us to sit through before movies actually begin, Charlize Theron as a possible Bond girl, the recent Pink Panther and Inside Man trailers and a few things more.

I'm sorry but I really don't care about politics even when you have Schwarzenegger, Gibson, and Beatty as the topic. Guillermo del Toro is a great director and I love Hellboy and B.P.R.D comics and the movie was great. Halo is a great game Halo 2 was acceptable and the movie will innevitably be an okay.

What is it with Doug and hating Halle Berry's haircuts??

I didnt listen to the episode yet, but i unwillingly live in LA and am amazed at how quickly these california morons turned on Schwarzzeneger. The media and the "minorities" are on the warpath and they run the state so he's the latest target.

Anyway, to anyone who lives outside the state then don't listen to the bashing. Ahnold isn't doing bad. He could be doing better but the rights of illegal aliens come before us tax paying citizens out here so we're on the losing end of an invasion. I hope Arnold finds a way out and people learn their lesson. California is corrupt and citizens come last regardless of who is in charge.

Comments:

1) Mel Gibson was born in the US. His family moved to the land down under when he was a teen.

2) John, I agree with the commercials rant. But, be aware that Hollywood has little to do with it. It is the theater chains themselves. Oh, and, in case you and others *really* want to know, the song "Zoom Zoom" is by a group called Serapis Bey. It was actually part of a movie soundtrack of which I have in my possession. (The film was silly but entertaining martial arts pic called 'Only The Strong' w/ Marc Dacascos.) Anyway, I won''t tell you who sings the theme song from Aquafina. That I don't know.

3) I don't want Charlize as a bond girl. I'd prefer an actress who needs more attention- like say, Andrea Parker (from 'Pretender' and 'Less Than Perfect') Jennifer Esposito...

4) I'd much rather see a Pink Panther or Ant & The Aardvark cartoon than the Stteve Martin remake. I thought Roberto Begini did an alright job ten years ago.

Um, did anyone remember the "Governornator" not allowing anyone under 18 to play rated "M" games in CA?

And about the Aeon Flux thing? It's based on an anime! I KNEW it would be total crap!
