Tristan And Isolde Trailer
The new Tristan And Isolde trailer has hit the web... and I'm sorrily disappointed in it.
Tristan And Isolde has a few things going for it right off the bat. First is a terrific young leading cast with Sophia Myles (who was hot as lava in Underworld) and who I say will be the next Brad Pitt in a few years James Franco (Harry in Spider-Man). Not to mention a killer source story:
This longtime dream project of executive producers Tony Scott and Ridley Scott explores the medieval legend of a princess and warrior’s love affair, which threatens to tear apart an uneasy peace between England and Ireland. A tale of epic battles, royal intrigue and a timeless, star-crossed passionThe problem is that the Tristan And Isolde trailer fails to impress. Not to mention it employs one of the MOST ANNOYING habits... using modern rock anthem music for a age (or period) piece film. I like Eveanesence and everything... but not in a trailer for a film like this. Yuk.
This obviously has no bearing on if the film will be any good or not... but the trailer is a wash as far as I'm concerned. You can see the Tristan And Isolde trailer here.

James Franco the next Brad Pitt? After how much it sucked in Spiderman? I think it's the dumbest idea I heard lately; even Johnny Knoxville is a better choice than him.

*shocked* I loved the trailer, didnt even pay attention to the background music playing!
I am ready for another period romantic film. And I will wait in line for this. Yes, I am a sucker for romance just like most women! *laughs*
John, I am sure that more women will dig this trailer, men are always iffy. *winks*

This was a surprise for me. I wouldn't have cared one way or another about this movie but the preview looks really good.

I think she would like this movie, we are nuts for medievel swordplay period pieces, you should see how we(she)decorates our house, my friends say its like being in a museum.

I'm a bit more of a hobbit and she is an elf. She did have a thing for Legolas though.

I agree!! The music started off excellent but then proceeded into that horrible modern rock crud that ruined it for me! they should have kept the same music they used in the beginning all the way to the end because it was so fantastic. I am so excited to see this movie however because i love romantic movies from back in the old ages!!
