The Pink Panther trailer online

In the worst move in cinematic history, some people have decided they can remake the classic comedy of The Pink Panther, now has a trailer online. If you really feel the need then go and check it out and then write up your own review in our comments.

Frankly I can't be arsed, that and I'm at work, but I just don't feel any desire to see the class that was Peter Sellers remade by a comedy actor that is just not in his calibre. Have a look at the trailer over at Movies Online.

Is that steve martin trying to act like peter sellers? oh steve, go back to your shitty cheaper by the dozen and father of the bride pants movies you normally do and leave the comical stuff to people who are truely funny not forced stand-up humour.

As for a remake of the pink panther? it will bomb.

That is just awful.

We saw the trailer for it in the cinema months and months ago and then... nothing. Studio has kept it shelved for nearly a year now, it must be that bad. I'm surprised they didn't just put it straight to video.

Such a pity that it is allowed to see the light of day, Steve Martin was getting kudos for Shopgirl (which is the LA Story script retold ?) and this will put him back down again.
He must have upset some studio exec who is out for revenge.

I hope it does not ruin Jean Reno's career...

I read the script, written by Martin, a long time ago, and I thought it was funny (the page and the screen can be oh so different when it comes to comedy), if low-brow and not very Pink Panther. Then, I saw the trailer awhile back, as Webbie mentioned, and the audience in the theater was laughing hysterically at the simplest pratfalls. I was traumatized.

I just can't understand how someone can be so stupid as to think they can remake the Sellers genius.

Plus bloody embedded Windows Media trailers...couldn't play it anyway.

Peter Sellers is rolling over in his grave. This trailer actually made me frown and get teary eyed(and they were'nt tears of joy).

It does make me sad for Sellers, first this then Casino Royale. Well that's a different situation but I still feel bad for Sellers.
