King Kong Trailer & Stills
Over at Apple they have the new King Kong trailer in a nice viewable format, via Film Rotation. In fact in quite a few formats now, not only are there the small, medium and large, but there's the new High Definition and the even newer iPOD trailer! Now blow me over but I've never noticed that one before, it's a great move.
Okay, I can't see these at work...so I really am relying on you guys to review it for me so I know how good it is. Forget everyone else, tell me if it's any good! I want to know!!
The front picture looks stonkingly good. Talking of pictures, check out Cinema Blend's gallery where there are some great photos old and new. What can I say, it looks totally amazing...stunning in fact.

I watched the HD trailer a few days ago, and thought it was fantastic. I can't wait to see the film now.
That of course depends if it ever get's to the Isle of Man...

The new trailer looks great, but a few shots still look bad to me. Whenever Kong beats his chest, it looks like a videogame. The quick shot of Kong's roar right before he charges the T-Rex looked weird to me, but the rest looks great.

Oh Yeah, and Jack Black will ruin this flick for me. His voice just doesn't have the ...well...gravitas for that opening shot in the trailer. When it started, I couldn't help but think, "Why's the School of Rock dude talking?" It sounds like he's trying too hard to be serious. I hope I'm wrong.

I had exactly the same reaction as Katrina - partially due to seeing School of Rock a couple of weeks ago. Jack Black was mostly in comedies so far, and I just can't take this movie seriously because of him. And his voiceover... really bad idea. Not fit for the trailer. I hope the movie will prove me wrong, but so far the casting of Jack Black as one of the main leads looks more and more like a bad move.
