Jamie Foxx talks Tyson biopic

jamiefoxx.jpgThe last time I talked about the possible Mike Tyson biopic we managed to kick up a storm and get one hell of a conversation going, so I wonder if this will happen again now that IMDB are carrying some quotes from Jamie Foxx about his desire to create a Mike Tyson bipoic:

The funnyman-turned-actor, a long time friend of Tyson's...hopes that by talking about a film about the ear-chomping fighter it will happen. Foxx tells film website Moviehole.net, "I think the Mike Tyson story is the most interesting thing. Nobody knows the stuff that I know, the stuff that I found out. It would blow your mind. Mike Tyson gives you phrases that, if you listen to it, it'll blow your mind. They (media) said 'Mike, how do you feel?' and he said, 'I'm happy. I'm more happy now I don't have any money, ' and they said, 'Why, Michael?' 'I don't have to worry about anything. I'm just here.' And I said, 'That's where you go. Do the story about that and about how he feels now - after he looks back on what all happened."

Sounds like he has a more interesting take on it than at first thought, and hopefully it will carry humility and reflection on what he has done and how he has harmed others. That's not all Foxx has planned though, it seems as though he's also keen on a biopic of Marvin Gaye, now that would be interesting.
