Revenge of the Sith deleted scenes sucked more @$$ than a Burger King toilet Bowl. Holy smokes they were awful. The ridiculous moustachio twirl baseball signs, Bail "The Fruitcake" Organa, the "dang it man, I'm made of wood and my scene got cut" Rebellion Gang and Shak-Tee (or however you spell it) proving once again most models can't act. Truly, laughably awful.

guys guys guys... about Hayden Christianson's "Accent/ bad dialog delivery" in the star wars prequels, i have defense that i believe is concrete. And everyone is missing it.

listen to Darth Vader, as voiced by JE. Jones... then compare it to the way that jake loyd and Hayden talk.

the accent ... the forceful condescention is present in all 3 films.

after you realize this fact, Hayden's acting seems much much clearer , as i think the intention is being missed. just trying to help... : )

I agree with you mogulus, he did try to mimic JE Jones.
But it sounded silly when he did it, and made for weak dialogue interaction.

I don't doubt he was told to talk that way, and you have to listen to your boss.

1) Sith

There was once upon a time when Lucas did care more about actors. "American Graffitti" and the first (un-touched) "Star Wars A New Hope".

Lucas and co. say they cut the Mon Martha scenes for time. One of Mon's entourage was a character,Senator Bana Breemu, played by Bai Ling, who you mentioned being in the film "Red Corner" with Richard Gere (by the way, she wasn't his love intrest in the film).
There was some debate that the scenes were cut because Ling showed some skin for Playboy shortly before the release of Sith. I found this rumor to be without merit (she was only in those short scenes) but there are those (including IMDB) who pass it along as 'trivia'.

I think the scene with Yoda shouldn't have been cut, but I understand why it was. Just another coda. But I would have traded any other Yoda scene to have that.

2) Prime.

You forgot the other twist! Not only is a 37 year old lass dating a 23 year old guy, the guy is the son of her shrink! It is the latter part of the situation, not the former, that was the real premise of the film. If that wasn't the case, the script would have Uma be the therapist and Meryl Streep would be dating Uma's younger brother :)

3) Muppets and CGI.
As a kid I loved the Muppet Movie. Loved the Muppet Show (including a classic episode regarding the passing of Jim Henson), but, the Muppets started to lose spark before Henson's passing. "Muppet Caper", "Muppets Take Manhattan"...

I also agree that Muppets appear to have sold out, as we see Miss Piggy hawk Revlon? Pizza? Muppet comeback? What's that? Son Of Elmo? A comeback would only be a push to sell toys.

I wouldn't mind a combo of CGI and Muppets, (digitally removing strings, puppeteers for example) but I just don't see a CGI Swedish Chef or a CGI Beaker. CGI Animal? Okay, that's another ballgame.

-Sealer out.

CGI Muppets?

It will never work!

Why?

Simple! A huge part of why muppets are funny, is because they are puppets!

A puppet is a completely different delivery system, and such a huge chunk of muppet personality come from the fact that they are puppets! A puppet moves a certain way and looks a certain way.

Also, I think it would make Jim Henson spin in his grave.

John,
Here's a link to some upcoming Muppet projects:
http://www.muppetcentral.com/news/2005/090505.shtml
I think this could be interesting, especially if it leads to another regular series or feature film.
As Disney has acquired the Muppets rights last year, I expect a strong push to have these characters re-introduced and re-established for the latest young generation.
As for Muppets going CG, isn't that defeating the purpose of what a "Muppet" is?
