True Lies 2 not lies?

ElizaDushku.jpgWe've talked about the idea of True Lies 2 loads on the site before, and mainly from Tom Arnold cracking off about how he'd really like to do the next one, and it's really going to happen, and...

Well the premise just got a whole lot more believable as another original actor signs up to say it's going to happen. Eliza Dushku (can't parents spell anymore?) dropped a heft hint on JoBlo through Cinema Blend:

"We all caught up Me, Jamie Lee, Arnold, and Jim, to talk about True Lies 2, about a month ago in California. We're Doing it. Definitely doing it. I'm revved."

So will Arnie take time out from his career and get into this sequel? Surely if there's a movie that might pump his political standings it would be this one, fighting against terrorists in America and all that? Go on Arnie...sign up!

What, you mean there's no campaign for a Mr Freeze spin-off movie? Surely that was the highlight of the Dumbernator's movie career. "You're not sending me into da coolah." Or as he might say now as right-wing governor: "You're not going to get any funding this year if you're homeless, disabled, elderly and terminally ill."

The fact that the quote is EXACTLY the same as Tom Arnold's makes this more than a little suspect. Unless, of course, there's some sort of Manchurian Candidate-style brainwashing thing driving the film. Whoa. Talk about a kickass story.

What's wrong with Eliza Dushku's name? "Eliza" is a perfectly valid name--think Eliza Doolittle.

They should have made this movie years ago

I didn't even read the article. I ran straight to the can to fire off a few knuckle children. Nice pic.

I could care less about Tom Arnold. I would go to see this howver, if not only James Cameron returns to the director's chair, but also Charton Heston's eyepatch.

Darren: I think you'll find Heston's got Alzheimer's and won't be doing any more movies. If they want that character again, they should get Mickey Rooney. He's the same age and needs the work.
