Brick trailer

Okay this has really intrigued me. It's dark, broody and quite noir-esque, yet it's all juxtaposed against the battles in school and images like "I'm going to stir things up..." and he pulls someones straw from their mouth, knots it, and puts it back in. It looks as though it promises much darkness and some twisted humour. The critics are certainly up for it too, amongst the cool trailers there are some good names and good quotes.

Have a look at it over at Movies Online, and yes, this one did work for me. It starts loading instantly.

"Brick", while taking its cues and its verbal style from the novels of Dashiell Hammett, also honors the rich cinematic tradition of the hard-boiled noir mystery, here wittily and bracingly immersed in fresh territory...

I would suggest not reading the blurb provided, it's not that sexy, and gives away a couple of small explanations that might be more suited to actual viewing. Check the trailer and say what you think in the comments.

I saw it at Sundance and enjoyed it, but by the end it gets pretty over the top, whereas it is successfully dark, only mildly campy, and fairly believable through the majority of the movie. Lucas Haas is great in it!

I saw it at Sundance too, and I really didn't like it. Lucas Hass was, indeed, great, but the rest seemed pretty pointless. Teenager noir -- didn't quite do it for me.

Saw this at the Chicago film fest - totally loved it. Don't think it's for everyone, it's got a really specific style, but I thought it was dark and hilarious in a Coen brothers type way. Nice trailer.
