***Spoilers ahead***

Seperated into four stories? Is it just me, or will the Josh Hartnett one not really be worth watching on its own? It basically introduced the look (and the title logo!) and then served as a pay-off to one of the other stories, with its ending more implicit that actually shown. I can't see how it'll be better on its own.

What do I think? I think this is the DVD that should have been released in the first place. The one they've already released was a joke and a slap in the face to all the fans who made the film sucessful.

I'm going to have to agree with John on this one. I bought the first DVD release because I had read that the original theatrical version wouldn't be available on the Special Edition. An idea that pissed me off, but made the purchase have some value. Now I have a DVD that is so unbelievably pointless it's almost funny.

That being said, I will absolutely be buying the December release.

the josh hartnett book ends could still be included in the first and last stories. that, or they'd be removed all together, but i doubt it. there's no way they'd be shown "as a story".

I don't really think the movie needs an extended edition. I think the original version is long enough. The extras do look AWESOME. I hope the European release will get the same package, with the graphic novel.

Anyway, they should have put this out at the same time as the vanilla edition.

I'm glad it includes the original theatrical cut. Kudos.

I'm with you John. When I bought the dvd and checked out the extras or lack of I was mildly upset but I figured what they were up to. Just because of it I might not buy the extended, by that time I most likely wont care anymore

As a die hard Sin City fan, both of the comics and the movie, soon to be "movies", I love it and can't freakin' wait. Deff some of the best sounding and most extras on a DVD ever. I havn't bought the first edition DVD cuz I knew this one was coming out. Pays to keep up on these things. ;D

I feel sorry for those who did already get the first edition and now feel they should of waited. :( But more and more movie studios seem to be doing this kind of thing. The studio released the first DVD too early to try & beat all the bootleggers and downloaders some (all there fault why it came out so early & unfinished), even though they knew Rodriguez wasn't done with all the extras yet. But sounds like this new set will be well worth the wait...

This is exactly the kind of crap they pulled with the Lord of the Rings. I'm getting to the end of my tether with the SUPER ULTIMATE DIRECTORS CUT LIMITED EDITION SPECIAL DVD. How many ARMY OF DARKNESS DVD's are there now? At last count there were four. Hollywood. Anything for a buck.

That said, I'll get the DVD in December since I haven't bought the one out now.

"This is exactly the kind of crap they pulled with the Lord of the Rings." Wrong! PJ and New Line were upfront about the Extended Editions. They announced them before releasing the theatrical versions.

As for Sin City - I like the movie, the visuals were unique but the one note theme of revenge does not make for repeat viewings.
