Katherine Heigl The New Wonder Woman?
Rumors about who will be the new Wonder Woman have been flying around before Joss Whedon was even confirmed as the director for the new DC comic film. News on the Wonder Woman movie front has been fairly quiet since Whedon's attention has been strictly focused on the finishing and promoting of Serenity... but now that opening day draws nigh, you can bet your golden lasso that the talk is about to get nuts!
On that note, the word floating around right now is that Grey's Anatomy babe Katherine Heigl is in line to play the Amazon. The good folks over at M&C; give us this:
Is it just wild speculation? Maybe, but she does fit the profile outlined by Whedon in an interview he gave earlier this year to In Focus Magazine: " I’m looking for somebody statuesque, regal, beautiful, who can really act and do a lot of stunts with no elbow or knee pads." Of course that description fits a lot of people, but throw Heigl in the invisible jet as a possible contender.Yeah... personally I could see this. However, if it were up to me (and I'm still shocked about how many Hollywood directors DON'T call me to get my opinion on these things first) I'd still snag Kate Beckinsale for the role... but that's probably because I just like looking at Kate Beckinsale. Your thoughts?

I was not very interested in a Wonder Woman movie and figured it would make a lame film but I have had a bit of a crush on Heigl for years now ever since she was featured in Maxim. She is hot and she is good on Grey's Anatomy. With her involved I would likely go see a Wonder Woman movie even if it is cheesie.

But I'm still firmly a believer that Pauley Perrette is perfect for the role :D

just in case anyone needs to see who I am talking about. She's tall (5'10"), is gorgeous, is very talented, and has black hair...and amazing green eyes (I could live with green lol), has a great chameleon like quality to her look AND her acting, and I love her.

My choice would be Morena Baccarin. Although she isn't so amazonian, I think she could overcome that.
