Bruce Willis for J.R. Ewing!

Not sure how much sway Larry Hagman has with the new movie production of Dallas, but if he has any he might just influence the casting of his old role. According to Digital Spy he's keen for none other than...

Bruce Willis to take over his old role as JR Ewing in the movie version of the series.

Brad Pitt, Catherine Zeta-Jones and John Travolta have all reportedly joined the film, while Hagman is convinced that Willis would be perfect to join them.

"I think he'd be great," Larry told The Mirror. "He has a great sense of humour, he's manly, and he's had enough women in his life.

I have a feeling that if Travolta really is cast then he's taking the role, just seems right to me. However, who can argue with the real J.R.? Who's your ideal cast for the role?

Bruce Willis as J.R, hmmm.............Bruce Willis is a good actor and I can kinda picture this......but still, Bruce is the last actor to come into my mind as playing J.R Ewing. Now as for John Travolta, YES! that would be perfect, I can toatlly picture that. We just all have to worry about the movie itself sucking eggs. The cast listed above is perfect so far.

Travolta does smarm way better than Willis does. In fact, I don't think of Willis when I think of smarmy JR Ewing seducing women to backstab their husbands in business. When I think about Travolta doing it, my eyes light up like a Christmast tree.

Vince Vaughn would be a good consideration for J.R. He has that "not telling you everything" type look. Just a thought.
