Brosnan back as Bond?

!'m Back...wrong movie, but what the hell! This is just so wildly funny I had to post it. It's so funny to think that this might actually be true, but what the hell. Looks like Pierce Brosnan might be back with a chance in the Bond stakes - didn't I say this ages ago that Connery used to use this as a pay rise technique? - since no one can agree on anyone!

From Moviehole:

The site [MI6] says that Sony are having a hard time trying to find a replacement for the star of Bond hits "Goldeneye", "Tommorrow Never Dies", "The World is Not Enough" and "Die Another Day" and most at the studio are keen for fluffy-chest to return.

"Sony are pulling their hair out over it, apparently. I was in their offices just a few weeks ago pitching Thomas Crown 2. They said, "come back" and I said "it's not up to me, guys", Brosnan tells.

"I think I was caught up between the egos of the producers and the studios, really. They (the producers) didn't know whether to go younger, they didn't know what to do, period. I don't know what the truth is. It could be as honest as that, but it seems strange, especially as each film made more and more money."

Oh dear, you have to laugh, and also give Brosnan a nod for his hardcore negotiating tactics. Mind you from all accounts he had no choice with the people in charge (not the studio this time) telling him an out and out no for his £10 million (that's British Pounds by the way!) salary.

I can't bear to ask for your thoughts...you probably haven't even read this one going "Oh, it's Bond rumours again..."!

I like Brosnan and I think Martin Campbell is a talented directo so yeah I think one last shot with the team who made Goldeneye would be a fine way for Brosnan to bow out. A lot better than leaving us with the last Bond movie.

As long as it's not some kiddie playing "Bond, James Bond" I really don't care.

I would love to see him do another one. By the next one they will have who ever to replace him.

Brosnan is too old for this. He looked like a senior citizen trying to play it, look it, and act it cool in the last movie.

Maybe the makeup artists can make up the difference between the younger and older Mr. Brosnan in the next movie if he gets the role.
Overall, he's a fine Bond, but the age factor, I think, is working against him.

I just don't know what to think anymore, too much for me to take.

I was a bit "pist" at the last Bond movie anyway. They stopped caring about the character and put too much emphasis on special effects.
