Audio Edition - September 21st 2005

Time once again for The Audio Edition here on The Movie Blog

Today, Doug and I discuss our new iPod Nanos for a minute... just because it's fun. We also talk about some of our favorite movie memorabilia that we'd like to own if money was no object, the upcoming release of Serenity that both Doug and I think will be great, the upcoming release of The Corpse Bride which Doug thinks will be great... but not so much myself, the propetual Mess X-Men 3 seems to find itself in, the casting for a new Fletch movie and a few things more!

To download the Audio Edition you can click here.

BOYS,

Glad to hear you're enjoying your Nano's.

As far as the Tim Burton thing, my memory is hazy as a seniors cataracts, but I think what I was saying about Tim Burton was that I enjoyed him for his humour and not really his 'goth' style. My prime example of Burton was Pee Wee's Big Adventure, which is one of the funniest movies ever. I like Tim Burton, but i do agree that people can get caught up in their own style (Wes Anderson). So I agree with Campea on that, but not on Mars Attacks, that movie kicks ass.

As far as the movie memorobelia, one of the most ultimate pieces for me: THE GLAIVE from KRULL. That would RULE.

Also, the tube from John Carpenter's Prince of Darkness that holds the son of satan, and a pair of sunglasses from from John Carpenter's They Live.

word,
JAY

p.s. Now that you guys are doing five shows a week, i expect a guest spot one show a week.

screw that.

I want the millenium falcon.

I would live in that friggin' thing, and whenever anyone came over for dinner I would brag to them about how i made the kessel run in less then 12 parsecs.

Then I would kiss their girlfriend. That slut wouldlove it.

Man you guys missed the most obvious and awesome movie item ever- and perfectly tied in to the opening subject of this audio edition. And the item is... the iPod from Blade: Trinity.

I think you guys should buy it, frame it, and mount it on your mantlepiece at home.

I saw Mars Attacks for the first time just a couple of weeks ago. I still haven't worked out whether I side more with John or Doug with that film. It's pretty singular stuff, but I'm damned if I can work out whether I actually like it or not...
