Nicole Kidman and The Bachelorette Party

Kidman82.jpgIt looks like one of my favorite actresses, Nicole Kidman, is set to star in the new 20th Century Fox project The Bachelorette Party, based on the book of the same name. Word is that Kidman will also produce the film. The good folks over at M&C; give us this synopsis on the book:

The book follows school teacher Zadie Roberts who is dumped at the alter by her soap star boyfriend. She then tries to avoid anything to do with weddings or romance...however her best friend then decides to marry Zadie's cousin and so she is once again sunk deep in all things marital.
Honestly, I don't think I've seen Nicole Kidman in a film where I didn't think she was solid in it. The woman has beauty, grace, class and also appears to be a whole lot more mentally stable than a certain scientologist ex-husband of hers.

Yeah, this project sounds a little formulaic romantic comedy to me... but who knows... sometime those work out just fine. And with Kidman involved my interest in it is pretty much solidified.

I like the premise. Even though I hate weddings, I find elopements nice. At least mine was two weeks ago. Sorry to break it to you this way, on your blog, John, but this means you are no longer my part-time finace. Still love me? :-)

Nicole! Kidman! Daahhhling. When are you going to act in a movie that I could, at the least, theoretically drum up enough interest to perhaps download a torrent for? I haven't been to a rom com since Eternal Sunshine (and some would say that's stretching the definition, but whatever).

[Honestly, I don't think I've seen Nicole Kidman in a film where I didn't think she was solid in it.]

I agree with this statement for most of her films, but she sucked in Bewitched.
