Dukes Of Hazzard 2
Oh good grief... someone tell me this is all just a bad joke. Apparently studio execs are set and ready to green light a Dukes of Hazzard 2. Yes, the crap just keeps on rolling. Yes, they managed to trick enough people into seeing the first one to make almost $75 million at this point... but the vast majority of people who saw it hated it. You think they'll be back paying $10 to see another one? Not me.
What makes this extra special stupidity is the following 2 facts. 1) Jessica Simpson (who was just HORRIBLE in the first one) is apparently getting a big raise to do the second. And 2) Simpson says it's going to take place in London. The good folks over at MovieHole give us this:
Jessica Simpson, who will apparently get quite a hefty fee to reprise her role as sexy DD, tells the site that the next one could be set in London. They would be "Lost in London", says the buxom crooner. "I think Daisy and those crazy boys will have a great time here in the UK."Someone just shoot me. It's almost as if some studios are having a "who can be the most retarded" contest. I think we just found the winner.

I wouldn't take this too seriously. It was a throwaway answer to a "would you like to do a sequel?" question at the UK press conference. If she'd been asked the same question in Sydney, the answer would've been "Yeah, I think the Dukes'd be great in the outback!"

The weekend that Dukes opened I was at my cottage (in Ontario) and one of the big wigs from WB has a cottage just down from mine. We always have a few beers and get talking about hollywood and he told me that Dukes cost 60 million to make, 30 million to market and 17.5 million they lost in the copyright law suit. So that is a total of 107.5 million and they only made back 75. Add in some okay DVD sales down the road and they will probably barely break even on this project. So to greenlight a sequel is a) risky b) financially unsound and c) straight up moronically retarded.
It's no wonder box office numbers are off this year.....too much junk is being churned out!

I agree with Nadzo, you lot want to stop bein a bunch of critics, and just accept that, you know what, jessica simpson might not be a good actress but F*** me she looks good in a pair of hot pants, and that alone is worth $10 or £10.
As for who ever sed there coming to your city, it aint your city, its our city, and jessica OMG your such a funkin buff bitch come and do me now simpson, Johnny 'sex on legs' knoxville, and sean william Hott, can come to it any time they want, and as long as jessicas in her hot pants, THEY ARE WELCOME!!
