Wow. I cant stand celebrity gossip. But good luck.

Celeb gossip is good for trying to figure out the answers to we don't know about life, or think we know and help develop us as people. Like going out partying and making an ass out of yourself, plastic surgery, etc. The list goes on and on and on, the gossip site is awsome! Now I have 2 blog sites I need to check out everyday!

I very seldom read celebrity gossip but what I find interesting when John dos in the Movie Blog is what he thinks about it, so yeah John I'll check this out, heck I already bookmarked it!

I've bookmarked the CGB site. John has done a really good with it already. Lots of fun reading! I feel like I don't need to bother with flipping through a celebrity mag, thanks to CGB (as if I ever did in the first place -- ahem!).

The sobering fact is: The stupid things that celebrities do tend to be far, FAR more interesting than the movies they star in.

There is definitely still room for a celeb gossip blog on the Web. The Superficial focuses mostly on posting photos of the "pretty people" female celebrities, while Defamer leans more toward industry news and snarky gossip. I haven't found a general, well-written and frequently updated celeb gossip blog that covers celebrity in the way People, US, Insight and the other newstand/checkout celeb gossip mags do.

There is certainly an audience for this kind of blog, and, yes, it will probably have a large, majority female audience of readers. (I forwarded the link to my girlfriend and she's added it to her favorites, and she has forwarded it to her female co-workers.) In fact, it would not surprise me if CGB becomes more popular than this blog, and John sees far more ad-link revenue from it.

Another suggestion to John: Tweak the color scheme of the layout a little, perhaps making the blue slightly see-thru, "aqua-like". Think the Mac OS, or look at the way make-up stores at the mall, like the Sephora chain, present their colors -- heavenly, translucent, soft edges. Chicks totally dig that. :D

Sorry Simone, I'm not in on it. John knows I'm not a fan of gossip anyway (check out my comments on the audio edition I appeared in).

I agree with him though that your perception of a character in a movie is affected by the actors behaviour in real life, but I can divorce myself enough from that to not even care. It especially helps if the actor is good.

I've checked out the site though and it looks very cool. I just don't know where he gets the energy and time from! I've got enough on my plate with Movie Blog, my site, Film Festival, work and life. Oh...and some other writing ;) fingers crossed.

Good luck John, and do check out the site. For those of you who love the gossip side, or even have a small interest, check it out.

And Richard, I knew you wouldnt be in on this one, was just making sure if you hadnt change your mind yet. :-) I agree, I dunno how John can manage all of these, saying that, does that mean there will be an audio edition lined up for the CGB, or am I asking too much? *winks*
