Casey Affleck Joins Brad Pitt in Jesse James Movie

Yes, before anyone asks Casey Affleck is the little brother of Ben Affleck... and he's just landed a better role than Ben has in the last 3 years. He'll be starring along side Brad Pitt (the two worked together before in the Ocean's 11 and 12 movies) in a Jesse James movie. The good folks over at MovieHole give us this:

Pitt will play James, Affleck's playing Ford. The young Ford joined the James gang but quickly turned against Jesse - jealous of his 'fastest gun in the west' tag. Hoping it would do wonders for his rep, Ford shot James - in the back, stamping himself the most famous coward around.
I'm actually really interested to see what Casey Affleck can do with a bigger role like this one... and going toe to toe with someone with the stature of a Brad Pitt. Most of you know that I actually think BEN Affleck is a really underrated actor... so we'll see if the talent runs in the family.

Well I think it will be nice to see Casey in more of a lead role for once. In the roles i've seen him in, (200 cigarettes, oceans 11/12,soul survivors, american pie 1 and 2) he's played some more supporting cast roles. But, in every one, he's played his character well. So, perhaps we can finally see how well he can really act.

i was wonderin about that kid...i thought brother of ben, he must get more jobs and all i've really seen him in was the movies u listed. so cool, i guess he's comin to calgary with mr.pitt, which is where i'm living and will hopefully get a little part as an extra after i go to the casting call.

and John....I agree, a lot of people look down on me when i say i like Ben Affleck... i really do, i mean..Pearl Harbour, Armageddon, Sum of all Fears, Reindeer Games... and when Ben Affleck crys in a movie, it makes me cry too, he's got talent, its just lately he's been doin a lot of cheese, he should get back to those big roles and out of the j-lo slump
