Pulse original to be released

Kairo.jpgAs always the first thing that those who have seen original foreign movies which are due for a remake by Hollywood is, all together now..."Go see the original first!". Let me drivel for a moment while you contemplate that, take it in, and take action on it.

Coming Soonhave the wonderful news that the original Pulse or Kaïro before the possibly hideous Hollywood version hits us. Magnolia has purchased the rights to all English speaking countries plus a few others and looks set to release it, we hope before the remake...

Wes Craven co-wrote the Pulse remake, which is filming with Kristen Bell and Christina Milian heading the ensemble cast.

Oh dear. See the original, please. I could be wrong of course, but don't take the chance, and while I'm on it, go see Infernal Affairs or Wu jian dao before it's butchered too.

I think the remake is an incredibly bad idea. Kairo was a masterpiece, an eerie, atmospherical, philosophical horror. I just can't think of any american director that could capture all the right elements.
