Oh Look - Russell Crowe Did Something Stupid

Surprise surprise... Russell Crowe did something stupid again. Here's how the good folks over at The Globe and Mail put it:

Actor Russell Crowe was arrested Monday morning for allegedly throwing a telephone at an employee of the Manhattan hotel where he was staying, police said. Mr. Crowe, 41, who plays a boxer in his latest film Cinderella Man, allegedly threw the phone at the Mercer Hotel employee, striking him in the face, during an argument at around 4:20 a.m., said police spokesman Sergeant Mike Wysokowski.
I have said this a thousand times on this site and I'll say it one more time. Russell Crowe is probably in the top 2 or 3 of the greatest actors alive today... it's just that simple. However, the man has become so full of himself and become suck a prick that enjoying his films is becoming harder and harder.

Will someone please slap this 41 year old moron in the head and tell him to grow up. With all the talent he has he could one day be known as one of the best screen actors of all time... if he stops being such an idiot.

Cindaressted Man!

…Sorry for subjecting you to my lame attempt at humor.

Gunnery Sergeant Hartman: Private Joker why did you join my beloved Corps?
Private Joker: Sir, to kill sir!
Gunnery Sergeant Hartman: So you're a killer?
Private Joker: Sir, yes sir!
Gunnery Sergeant Hartman: Let me see your war face.
Private Joker: Sir?
Gunnery Sergeant Hartman: You got a war face? AHHHHHHHH! That's a war face. Now let me see your war face.
Private Joker: Ahhhhh!
Gunnery Sergeant Hartman: Bullshit you didn't convince me. Let me see your real war face.
Private Joker: Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh!
Gunnery Sergeant Hartman: You don't scare me; work on it.
Private Joker: Sir, yes sir!

I hope this is not some publicity stunt?

Oh Russell my man, what's going on? :-(

It's fake.. Look at the Sergeant's name... Monster's Inc., anyone?

I love your headline "Oh Look - Russell Crowe Did Something Stupid" - has to bee one of the best on your site ever. Every time I look at it I laugh. Not because I'm surprised, but because it's no surprise. I mean, Russell Crowe doing something stupid is kinda like saying "the sun is gonna rise today" LOL.

Man, you nailed it. What a freakin' moron. Granted, everybody makes mistakes, but over and over again. Eventually your poopy attitude will blanket your skills as an actor.

Gues in Australia.....when you want to make a call....you have to shove it up someone's ars to get a dial tone. Yet another Rich Actor that thinks that those of us in the 5 digit income should bow down and do whatever needs to be done to make the "Rich Actor" happy. Shame....If I hit someone....I would go to jail.....where do the rich go? Heres hoping that Russsell Crow and Mike Jackson share the same cell.

Russell Crowe is wildly inappropriate and one could assess that to him being an artist. He's the not first artist to be a bit crazy in the head. I also dont believe it's fame that created this angry pompous Crowe. I think he's probably always been like this - fame has only publicized his behavior.

While I don't believe it effects his ability to act, I do believe that public opinion can jeopardize a share of your box office draw.

greatest actor? that would be a patently incorrect movie opinion. gladiator was a good flick. so was the untouchables. but a beautiful mind? master and commander? proof of life? entertaining, but great film? hardly, despite whatever the moronic oscar committee has to say about anything (obviously). c'mon. he's a typical overrated hollywood prima donna. the real talent is nowhere near los angeles. but the real cash cows are.

DOES ANYONE NOT REALIZE THIS IS FAKE?

Posted by: Andrew Edmark at June 7, 2005 10:25 PM

How is it fake? I'm sure the New York Police Department always "plays" major roles in the marketing campaign of Hollywood Movie.....Nah.....Russ is not as bullet proof as he thinks he is. He thinks(like many others in Holy-wood)that they are above the law....but Martha Stewart and Robert Downey Jr thought that too. Hope he gts off easy this time....and then messes up REALLY BIG the next time. Id love to see him behind bars for 3 years....man love would straighten him right out.

What are you talking about? Look at the Sargeant's name. I'm just pointing out, that that is the same exact name of Billy Crystal's character in Monster's Inc. Am I the only one that notices that?

I'm with Russell on this one. The idiot desk clerk should never have shown the disrespect he did by uttering "whataver" at a time when he should have shown some empathy. He got what he deserved and I would have done the same.
