I won't even justify any of this with commentary. Here are the results:

It's voted on by members of the MTV audience. It's the younger generation's version of the People's Choice Awards. And despite the fact that there are eye rolling winners there are some good ones too.

I don't understand the furor or annoyance over the MTV awards winners. From the categories to the ceremony itself it's VERY obvious that they're not at all trying to be serious (it's MTV for crying out loud) and it's all a bunch of goofy fun. Sure you may get quality wins here and there but it's mainly just a barometer of who's popular at the moment. Much like the Oscars is merely a barometer of who's popular with the AMPAS (at the moment). At least the MTV awards has no delusions of grandeur.

Here was my prediction on themovieblog when the nominees were announced:
"I have a sneaky suspicion that Napoleon Dynamite is going to win the three awards it was nominated for, Best Movie, Breakthrough Male and Best Musical Performance. It was an unexpected box office success, massively popular on dvd and was financed by MTV. And before I forget it was financed by MTV."

Hillary Duff should of won best actress. Not only is she the hottest actress but she is the best actress there. MTV awards bombed because it is full of teenagers who as for the women follow there idol Lindsay Lohan

what the hell is your problem i loved the mtv movie awards they are the best awards out there and retty much the only ones i really enjoy watching and rockandrobbie person okay you are the most retarded person ever you don't now a thing about acting i mean come on hilary duff, what the hell!!!!!!!!! hilary duff sux at everything(accept gymnastics)shes not all she is is a pretty face, nothing more shes the worst actor out there and all of her movies suck accept the perfect man (that was cute)and lindsay lohans like the next molly ringwald shes a huge star, an amazing actress, and they both have naturally red hair i mean sure she sux at singing but hilary duff sux at singing and acting and shes a little goody goody

my fav part was when they did that dedication thing to the cast of the breakfast club. I ALMOST CRIED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I wish soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much that judd nelson and emilio estevez were there, but especially Judd Nelson cuz i want to know why the hell he didn't show up. I mean if i were involved in something like that i'd make sure i was there WHERE THE HELL WAS HE?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
