King Kong Trailer News

King Kong is getting closer and news of the first showing of it's 2 minute and 30 second trailer is now coming out.

Apparently NBC and all of it's sub stations (including CNBC) are going to simultaneously broadcast the trailer on June 27th at 8:59pm. This is a pretty cool idea. It guarantees that they'll have the largest possible audience at one time.

Isn't the marketing machine a fascinating thing? Now, not only is the trailer generating publicity for the film... but HOW their going to broadcast the trailer is generating publicity for the film as well. If only marketing people would use their powers for good instead of evil the world might be a better place.

Two minutes and thirty seconds sounds like a theatrical trailer to me, teaser trailers are generally only a minute long.
