Johnny Depp in Addict
Recently we talked about the adaptation of the book Addict by Andy Serkis and the locations throughout the UK including the lovely Scottish city Aberdeen (Why does Wrexham get mentioned twice and nothing of Aberdeen?!).
Well the BBC through Coming Soon that Johnny Depp is being touted for the role.
Shooting of Addict, based on the best-selling biography of writer Stephen Smith, is to start this summer.Mr Smith said he was in talks and hoped to sign up "Pirates of the Caribbean" star Depp "within three weeks".
Excellent news, but please oh please, film in the UK!

Is Depp too busy with Caribbean 2 though? I don't if he can make trips to the UK all the time, especially if it's a lead role.

I live in the south of England in a place called Bournemouth and apparently the small area of Bournemouth called Boscombe is where this true story is set and according to my local papers, they were planning on filming right in my back yard! But the fools in the town council don't want to ruin the 'improving image' of boscombe by letting a film crew shoot a druggy movie.
Bah.

Depp is a busy actor as of late, and I love it! He's one of my favorite actors....it still kills me to think of when I was a teen and watched 21 Jump Street. Damn, he's come a long way!

i dnt know y everyone sayin its bein filmed in ova places because its bein filmed in plymouth in england its already bin comfirmed and starts filming in august haha xxxxxxxx
