Charlie and the Chocolate Factory trailer
The trailer for this has been out for a short while, but only on an IE friendly site with reduced quality. So I've waited for the Quicktime version to pop up on Apple's Trailer site.
Remember the first teaser that looked a bit weird and really went away from the first movie feel? It is supposed to be following the book much more, however there's a whole generation that are into the movie and it's hard not to compare. Well compare we did and the comments weren't that great.
This one is a lot more like the original, and seems to indicate a bit more of a toned down performance from Johnny Depp. There's also a fair list of actors in the movie, and it seems quite impressive, just check out the credits at the bottom of the trailer page first. Christopher Lee is in this too, as well as the superb James Fox
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory might just turn out to be a good movie after all. Thoughts on the new trailer?

I enjoy the original movie, but I can't say I love it. I'm a large fan of the book, which I read before I ever saw the movie.
I don't think it's fair to compare Depp and Wilder because they are two different talents giving their interpretation of Willy Wonka.
I've been a little reserved in my opinion of this remake, but with this last trailer I have to admit I'm growing more excited.
I'm starting to see this movie not as a copy of the original version, but a different interpretation.

I liked the two 'weird' little trailers that we saw originally, however I think this full trailer really 'sells' the film a lot more. I hope the marketing for this is pretty strong - Warners has already sunk a ton of cash into marketing 'Batman Begins'.
Can't wait till it hits theaters in July!

Johnny Depp looks really weirdly androgynous. Kinda has a creepy she-male thing going on. Willy Hermaphrodite and the Chocolate Factory? I better stop now. :P

I'm sorry to say but I think Johnny Depp has finaly ruined a film.
He looks like he wants to rape the kids and he just ruins what Wonka is.
I'm a big Tim Burton fan but I want to beat the crap outta him because of this.
Who knows...I can't fully judge untils it out.

I think that Johnny Depp has acctually done a very good job on Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. He's not try to become Michel Jackson, he has done worse movies!! If anyone ruins this movie it's Tim Burton not Johnny Depp, He's not the director. Duhh!!!!

i'll admit this trailer improves vastly upon the first. i'm still not hopeful though. remakes. ugh.
