Batman sequels in doubt?

BatmanInternationalPoster.jpgApparently, despite all the talk and continued hype surrounding new Batman sequels, it's all studio driven and that's a bad thing. Remember back to the first Batman and when the studio took over and replaced Directors and Actors along the way? Rubbish. Pure eye candy, and even then it left a foul taste.

According to Comic Book Movie neither David Goyer or "Chris" (CBM and the source story state it's Christopher Nolan and one would assume but the quote doesn't state that) have decided if they are going to come back. Perhaps waiting to see if it's a success.

"I have no idea, and I'm not being coy," Goyer said in an interview. "Chris and I have talked about it, but a lot of whether or not I'd come back depends on whether or not Chris comes back. And Chris has not decided."

Goyer added: "[Nolan] just finished the film a few weeks ago, and it really overtook his life. I don't know if I'd come back if he didn't. I know that Chris is going to take some time and decide whether or not he feels he can come back. But part of me is tempted to just do the one and walk away, you know? There will never be another Batman origin story. So, we'll see. A lot of it is up to Chris."

Hype? Perhaps, there's a lot of it about for this movie, and more coming today, however it does raise the concern that perhaps the studio is looking to revive the franchise and play musical chairs again. How awful would that be?

Batman the 1960s movie was the best by far. I want to buy the whole original series, does anyone know if you can get it?

In fact the legacy of the 60s series is why big names like Arnie, Jim Carey, Devito etc want to be in it!

Bring back Adam West! Hes not too old!!

I just though of a great idea..

If Chris Nolan doesn't come back...
Hire Rodriguez and Miller to adapt Dark Knight Returns. You know you want it.

Oh yes Joseph, I like your thinking. That would be an awesome next movie to make.

All fine, except for the thirty-year gap (Knight's Batman is in his sixties), and the retroactive continuity (Knight's Batsuit is very primitive).
