Revenge of the Sith advertising

F1-Coulthard.jpgI thought I'd just drop this post in for some fun and combine two of my favourite things (although if you've read my recent rants about Formula 1 on my blog you might think not).

It looks like Red Bull Racing are planning a big advertising special for the Monaco Formula 1 Grand Prix. In 13 days time they may be taking to the track with the Force on their side, combined with the excellent driving talents of the Scottish racer David Coulthard, how can they go wrong? From Sport Network:

Red Bull Racing are set to employ a new tactic at the next race in Monaco. Whilst the FIA do have strict rules banning a lot of electronic driver aids, there is currently nothing in the regulations banning the use of "The Force"

Following on from the Jaguar days when the team collaborated with Arnold Schwarzenegger at Silverstone to promote Terminator 3, and Brad Pitt at Monaco to promote Ocean's 12, speculation is rife that at Monaco this year Red Bull will join forces with Star Wars.

The car will feature a special "Episode III - The Revenge of the Sith" livery and stars of the film will be in attendance.

It might well be worth a look during, or after the race, to see some of the goings on, and if there is a lot of "presence" I shall report back for those of you who aren't F1 fans. Is it me or has Star Wars really gone mad with the merchandising and advertising?

I love all the Star Wars advertising. Glad they are going all out for the "grand finale"
