Superman Returns plot outline revealed
Okay folks, for those of you who are awaiting Superman Returns we have the official plot description here courtesy of IGN Film Force through Comic Book Movie.
For those of you who don't want to read it, I've very kindly put it in the full excerpt and not in the main text, I thought that might be too cruel. Mind you, just to be fair it doesn't really give away anything, it's just more to tease.
"Following a mysterious absence of several years, the Man of Steel comes back to Earth in the epic action-adventure Superman Returns, a soaring new chapter in the saga of one of the world's most beloved superheroes. While an old enemy plots to render him powerless once and for all, Superman faces the heartbreaking realization that the woman he loves, Lois Lane, has moved on with her life. Or has she? Superman's bittersweet return challenges him to bridge the distance between them while finding a place in a society that has learned to survive without him. In an attempt to protect the world he loves from cataclysmic destruction, Superman embarks on an epic journey of redemption that takes him from the depths of the ocean to the far reaches of outer space."
Ta-da! Well...what now? I guess we wait for a poster (I still like the fan one!), then some teasers, a few trailers and then release day. Savour this, we may be some time.

well it seems to me from reading this and the other post Superman Returns - Superman Dies?
That superman is hurt or killed by Doomsday or something else and leaves earth then returns. So what i get is that this movie takes place after all the good stuff and we get this crap?? no Doomsday no incredible battle, just he comes home nobody cares hes back and uh oh..whats this lex luthor same old same old stuff?? WOW! not! so far im as impressed as I was with Daredevil the movie. i want the new superman movie to have a feeling of Epicness, something that makes me grab hold of the theatre chair and say "OMG!" or "Holy SH$T!"

I don't think anything can ever touch the classic Superman with Christopher Reeve. I still get the goosebumps when he unveils the outfit for the first time and speeds off to save Lois. If Singer's vision turns out better or kicks ass, I'll eat my Superman underoos.

I haven't been to thrilled so far with all the superman returns info we've been getting but this seems intresting, it's getting me a little more excited.
I guess we'll wait with patience to see what happens next.
