Sahara Reviews
Over the last couple of years I've started to become a Matthew McConaughey fan. The guy has a killer on screen charm to go with loads of talent that I think we're all just starting to see. So it should come as no surprise that I'm looking forward to seeing Sahara.
The reviews for the film are starting to filter in now... and not surprisingly the review are like the trailer, mixed but leaning towards positive. Here's what some of the critics have to say:
"As Hollywood actioners go these days, this one’s quite tolerable in its guilty-pleasure way. Feel free to saddle up."Overall it's sounding like a fun summer brainless flick. I'm in. Add on top of that the fact that it also has Delroy Lindo and William H. Macy and it's a solid cast overall... now if they could just edit out Penelope Cruz.

It's a bit rubbish, actually. No, make that really quite rubbish. Too dumb to actually care about, but it nonetheless takes itself so seriously that it never manages to be a proper romp. And yes, Cruz just pouts confusedly all the way through.
Also, it has the worst movie science since The Core. Not just because it's ludicrously nonsensical, which isn't such a problem, but because it's a key plot device that they were too lazy to even bother trying to make it believable.

I will always remember him as Boonhauer in Dazed & Confused. Though I liked him a lot in Reign of Fire.
Sahara looks tedius but I like to think a bit during my mindless entertainment.

The same reasons why I am seeing the film too. *smiles* McConaughey was great in "A Time to Kill."

This movie is directed by Michael Eisner's son. Does anyone really need to know anything more?

I hated McConaughey first time I saw Contact, he gave me the same feeling Brad Pit did Pre Seven - Talentless Prettyboy.
Hes really funny in The texas chainsaw massacre the next generation.
