Pain Killer begins filming and weblogs

One of the regulars over at JoBlo has decided enough is enough. Hollywood just isn't cutting it anymore. So his answer? Well he's going out to write, produce and star as the lead in his own movie, Pain Killer.

John Fallon, the man in question, has started the official Pain Killer weblog which follows the days of filming. It's interesting stuff and there's not too many entries yet so it's easy to catch up on. It also boasts various feeds for you to keep an eye on. Here at MovieBlog we'll be happy to keep you updated too. John writes:

This BLOG will act as a way to keep you guys and dolls in the loop of things. I’ll try to write here everyday during the shoot. Expect clips, pics…the whole works to pop out here down the road. Welcome to the PAIN KILLER DIARY.

So, the story? Well, he posts the blurb for us too:

Ex-undercover cop turned biker Rane, witnesses the brutal murder of his pregnant wife by his crew who have learned about his old policemen days. Shot through the head with a crossbow and dumped into a canal, Rane is believed to be dead... but he miraculously survives the ordeal. Upon his exit from the hospital, he arms himself to the teeth and goes on a drug fueled, psychotic rampage, all in the name of unapologetic retribution.

Sounds a bit like Max Payne, and perhaps a touching on the game Pain Killer - but not having played it too much I wouldn't know - yet regardless of that it does sound pretty wild and that they don't want to skimp and produce another Punisher.

For extra info, you can even check out the Director's blog, Christian Viel.

This is suppose to be different from Hollywood. What a joke! But, I applaud his courage to do better! Maybe he should consider working with a real script writer for starters, because now it does sound like the guy has played Maw Payne too long.

Max Payne could be a bloody good film. Certainly with the surreal thing, wich was boring in the game, but could work in film.

Sounds gay but "A" for effort.

Gay, how does it sound gay? I didn't read anything about any of the main characters sleeping with members of the same sex?

Drop the lazy colloquialisms and give us your real opinion!
