Oh Yes!!! Ready to Rock!
Hey there Folks... John here.
Well... most of you know I've been having some MAJOR laptop issues the last couple of days and as a result haven't really been able to post much. Well, as of tonight I am up and running again. I had to get a new laptop (which I am NOT happy about), but it's done, and the new machine is pretty darn sweet. I've finally got it all set up and configured, so as of tomorrow I'll be posting again!
To celebrate, my buddy Cam (who has the best job in the world... he like works in Hong Kong for a month... home for a month... Austrailia for a month... home for a while... London for a while... home for a while) and I are heading into St. Catharines Ontario tonight to go to a place called Stella's. If you know the area, and are going to be around... stick your head in a say hi. It'll make me feel all special.

Yes, I agree, Richard has done a great job steering this ship whilst our Captain has temporarily "signed off". Good to have you back, and yes, do update that photo John! :-)

Re: The Superman costume.
It looks gay (as in, homosexual) which, quite frankly, is not necessarily a bad thing, since the entire idea of Superman himself is sorta gay (as in, stupid). So, gaying up (as in, homosexualizing) his look slightly might not be such a bad thing.
Not that there's anything wrong with that.

In all seriousness, I actually think the Supes costume is A-alright, much better than the Christopher Reeves incarnation. I think people obsessing over the "gayness" of it are kind of missing the point. Fanboy-critics have been saying it's "too gay" but then insisting that Routh needs to be bulging with more muscles -- uh, am I the only one who sees the ridiculous irony here?
X-Men and X2 both had a gay subtext, and you know what? It worked. It wasn't shoved in our faces (it wasn't flamboyant, stereotypical queery crap like Joel Schumacher's treatment of Batman), but on an artistic and thematic level it was appropriate.
I really think that Superman overall is a dated and rather stupid as hell concept in our day and age -- call me cynical if you will. I don't think slightly "metrosexualizing" the character is bad at all. It feels appropriate, and I mean that with absolutely no sarcasm intended.
