Robert Rodriguez son writes new movie

RobertRodriguez.jpgRobert Rodriguez is already teasing the media with thoughts of another Sin City, still that's all it is for now, teasing as he says:

"Yeah, I would do another Sin City. We'll see how the first one does, and if they want another one, we'll do another one."

Geez, they're so quick to leap to it. Mind you, on the strength of the trailer alone...! However, Coming Soon also bring us the news on how he came up with the ideas for his new movie, The Adventures of Shark Boy & Lava Girl in 3-D, his son!

"It's these little kid superheroes. This little boy dreams up these characters people think don't exist and they show up one day and take him out of school to another planet and a different planet. It's a really cool movie," says Rodriguez. He added that the action-adventure stars "George Lopez, Kristen Davis, and David Arquette and new kids you've never seen before. Comes out in June."

Sounds totally bizarre, and it's in 3D, but it's bound to be cinematic eye candy and a cool story to boot, judging by his past works anyway. Actually, is there any desire out there for 3D movies? Really? Has anyone sat through one (without their kids) and enjoyed it?

Oh come on, just get on with the Sin City release date!

I hate that, why have different release dates for different parts of the world...madness I tell you.

We would have been inundated with spoilers by the time we get to see it. They have actually moved it to August from an earlier release date after the US.

Well - I can't say 3-D movies make me go "Oooo" anymore. I love it as a kid, but as an adult, I don't really care.

With that said - Rodriguez is not making this for the adults. He's making it for his kids and other kids. I know right now that my daughter will be excited. She was very excited about Spy Kids 3, and you know, we both had a lot of fun.

On another note: I also think it's lame that there are different release dates around the world. It doesn't make sense to me.

Last note: I can't wait for April 1st!

Yeah, that's some weird stuff, it's the same in the Czech Republic... release date for Sin City sometime in August. Some weird stuff is going on down there in Europe... :-/ (Taken in account that all other movies start at the same time as they do here in US and Canada...)
