The Movie Blog: Audio Edition Vol. 12

Well, as promised we now present to you the dozenth installment of The Audio Edition. Sorry we missed the last couple of weeks, but life has been hectic.

This week we discuss some jerk wanting $42 million to play James Bond, being called racist if you don't like Chris Rock, our Oscar Picks and a few other things.

In this Edition, we offer 2 special features. 1) To make up for missing the last couple of weeks this installment is 30 minutes instead of the usuall 20. 2) The last 5 minutes is a special non-movie rant about the idiot NHL Players Association who have stolen my favorite sport away from me... those dirty, greedy, filthy bastards!!!! Anyway, just click here to join the fun!

I was listening to you guys whilst I was getting ready for work this morning, and I tried not to laugh so hard so as not to wake up my roomie.

Another great show guys.

How often should the Audio Editions be anyway?

"My big problem with RAY was too many black people...". John you're living Precious Moments Figurine. Ha ha.

Oh and, MEOW!

Funniest bit in the show was the never ending silence from Doug when John asked him the seemingly impossible question of who was going to win the oscar for best film.

That's right Paul. I can imagine how Doug looked like trying to think! *winks*

Oh thank God you have returned, sweet audio edition... as i kick back in my recliner with a Garcia Vega English Corona, a double shot of Jackie D's and this wonderful 12'th edition, i am truely happy... it is a simple pleasure, but it's the simple things in life we miss most when they are gone.

Keep up the good work.
And good luck with the coke addiction. 1.5 litres a day here. Help me!!!!

Hey John - Jim Barry was Scottish. :)

This was also the first Audio Edition I've listened to. Pretty cool. I do love to laugh.

I enjoyed your Oscar commentary. I'm personally routing for Leo, Cate, and Scorcese!

Best Picture....it's rough, they were all great movies! But I have to say I'm torn between Aviator and Million Dollar Baby, but I want the Aviator to win. Who ever wins Oscar will deserve him.

Sunday is only a few days away!!! I'm so excited it's sad. hehe. It's the only time you'll find me waiting for the end of the weekend.

We have the same choices there Meli, although deep down I hope "Sideways" win Best Picture, or I can settle for Best Adapted Screenplay. I am also excited to watch the Academy this year, but doubt if I could, it is only available through Sky, and I am not a subsciber. CRUMBS.

I am in agreement with John's comments that yes, the nominations for the Best Actor category this year would have been more interesting had they included Tom Cruise for his brilliant performance in "Collateral". Had he been nominated, the competition is pretty stiff. Oh and yes, I would have wanted him to win.

Thank goodness you're back!

I have fallen off the wagon a few times,
but am probably at 6 litres for the past 2 months.

I find drinking insane amounts of water helps,
last thing you want to drink is more liquid.
I drink cofee when I am feeling the pangs of caffine need.

Together we can do it.
