Rumour of Wonder Woman casting

Satu.jpgThere's loads of speculation and rumour stories out there just now, and this one is just as speculative and just as interesting. The casting for the new Wonder Woman. According to Moviehole through Comic Book Movie, it may be a new talent by the name of Satu Rautaharju, now there's a mouthful.

Not known for too much, although she was in Dawson's Creek...no my innuendo's will not come out there. She's next to star in Communication Breakdown described by IMDB as:

'Clerks'-meets-'Empire Records'-via the airwaves.

If you notice in the cast list yet again, and I have no idea how I picked up on this, the name Jasmin St. Claire struck me as recognisable. Another Porn Star turned actress!

Anyway, the next Wonder Woman? What do you think? I'm not entirely convinced.

That's according to Moviehole, which cited inside studio sources.

Yeah, but apparently the rumour originated from a fan site. Well, wherever, it's still something worthy of a discussion. Does she look the part? - Check out the big picture on CBM and scoot right back here and speak your mind.

I dunno, something aint right about her. She doesnt look like a Diana Prince a.k.a. Wonder Woman.

Posted by: Simone at February 9, 2005 05:12 PM

Is she going to do a porn scene in the movie???

Posted by: m3g4tr0n at February 9, 2005 08:01 PM

She's fuckable. Why not?

Posted by: Franklin at February 10, 2005 02:24 AM

Imdb say that she is born in canada but the name is clearly finnish... Fairytale Ironridge is the word by word translation, if somebody cares =)

You know what would help, let her put on the Wonder Woman costume and let's ask our boys here what they really think! *giggles*

A younger Courtney Cox would have been perfect for this role.

WHat the hell is wrong with Charisma Carpenter? I guess an unknown would be smart, but she's got to be hotter than that. Geez.

Posted by: Fraq at February 10, 2005 04:59 PM

Charisma may be too old.

It's not what I feel, but what the studio behind this may feel. They probably want some young 20something who could be still young for a few pictures.

Doubt that that will happen though, this movie being a success. Anybody else notice that movies that superhero type female characters don't do well at the box office generally?

Posted by: Franklin at February 10, 2005 09:01 PM

How tall is she? Wonder Women needs to be really tall and smoke'n hot. Other than that's it.

Mila Kunis (Jackie Burkhart) from the 70s show is a good choice to be Wonder Woman but Jennifer Connelly is also a good choice. But we got to have some full frontal nudity of all the amazon girls (including Wonder Woman) to make the movie more realistic.

No way! No one would go see the movie if she was in it - she just isn't attention getting....now Keri Russel would make a great Wonder Woman! She has that Lynda Carter quality about her!

I don't know, I think Satu is kinda gorgeous. Her name is very exotic & middle eastern and her look could be amazonian...she's 5'8", clearly tall enough. But, the movie will more likely be campy anyway. They should do a Justice League film, it would still have Wonder Woman, but do better at the box office. My vote is for Mila Kunis, hands down. But Satu could do it...

She's too ugly to be Wonder Woman! I mean PULLLEAAASE!!! What an insult to Lynda Carter. I don't think they'll find anyone as beautiful as Lynda but there are a lot better looking women than Satu or whatever her name is!!

Simple choices for the role are Sandra Bullock, Kristen Alfonso, Holly Marie Combs...They all fit the bill with toughness, star quality and most of all are breath taking. These other wanna be's need to go back from the places we never heard of...

Ya'll are crazy! Lucy Lawless is PERFECT for the part. My 2nd choice is Angelina Jolie.

Posted by: Jan at March 18, 2005 10:12 PM

ok lucy could be good if you watch zena there was an episode where it was set in the 40's she wore a bun in her hair and glasses and looked alot like diana prince. then she took the hair down and glasses off and looked juat like ww. she also has the acting chops with a combo of strong. passhion and voulnarability. and even humer. but
i saw a pic of anne hathaway as ww and she looked perfict sweet, sexy, smart, tough, and thing how great a diana prince she could do

Now that she's over her scary "Morticia" phrase, Angelina Jolie is the only person woman enough to play Wonder Woman. See for yourself: http://www.geocities.com/ds562/ajww.html Just get the script right! Not another Catwoman please!

I would love to see a Wonder Woman movie come out. Is this Satu girl the right choice though? Unlikely. Lynda Carter set the standard pretty high. She was both classy and extremely attractive. There was nothing trashy about the image she displayed on camera, whether dressed in her professional attire or in her super hero outfit, Lynda Carter portrayed an image that is pretty hard to match to this day.

They should consider jessica alba. She has the right look and a great smile alot like linda carter.

Posted by: wendy at March 30, 2005 02:40 AM

I think that sarah michelle gellar would be perfect for the role she just nedds to dy her hair brown!!!

I think that Lauren Graham (from Gilmore Girls) would be the perfect Wonder Woman. She's tall (5'9), beautiful, and sexy! She has expressed interest in the role, plus she would look great in those red boots!

By the way does anyone really know wat the story behind her is???

im 15 and i have no idea?

Posted by: Snake at June 21, 2005 03:49 PM

Jessica Alba, Angelina Jolie, Sandra Bullock, Keri Russell - to play Wonder Woman???! Hmm, I think the producers wanna make money.

I agree with Jennifer Connelly, but she'd have to put on some softness to her. She's too gaunt in the face, and doesn't have the requisite curvage.

Posted by: hello*kitty at July 8, 2005 10:51 AM

THE NEW WONDER WOMAN SHOULD BE NATALIE GLEBOVA. SHE IS THE WONDER WOMAN.

Posted by: Victor Santana at August 11, 2005 03:41 PM

Two words: Jordana Brewster

If you've ever seen photos of Connelly from about five years ago, she DOES have the curves needed, it's just a matter of gaining about 10-15 lbs. She's in her early 30's, and a GORGEOUS woman. Eyes are easy to change with contacts, and she can act!
She's also done quite a few movies with nudity in them: The Hot Spot for one.
