Kevin Costner to reprise Robin Hood role?
To be honest I don't think I've seen Kevin Costner in anything I really enjoyed apart from No Way Out. Actually, probably not true, I did enjoy Field of Dreams, JFK and Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, and with his less than great record since then, it's no surprise he's thinking about a return to safe ground.
According to Ananova he's looking to create a movie bringing us a view of the characters in later life.
He said: "I am a little older - I could take the whole story a stage further which is an idea I am working on at the moment."
Wow. I'm so excited. cough.

This has been done. It was called Robin and Marian. Costner's, who I realized a few years ago makes a lot of movies I like(due or in spite of him I don't know, would pale by comparison.

I, as well as many, would love to see a sequel to The Untouchables. Have Costner and DeNiro back, get Brian DePalma and producer Art Linson as well.
It could be set during the time when Capone was serving his sentence at Alcatraz. Now this is where things would have to depart from history: Ness could be working on a new gangbusters case that involves Capone's colleagues interest in expanding into Vegas, while Capone works things behind the scenes, but maybe even has to team up with Ness from behind bars so that his empire isn't taken over by another gangster.
In real life, Capone served his time, then was released and died of syphillis. Incidentally, Ness' job around this time was working for a U.S. department of health matters, investigating cases of VD. Not compelling material for a movie sequel, obviously. :-\
Oh, Robin Hood... it was Costner's most successful movie, so that's probably why he wants to go back to it. But I think he would be better off doing an Untouchables sequel like the way I described above.

I agree that he's not the greatest actor in the world, but I've enjoyed most of his movies. I highly recommend "A Perfect World" with Clint Eastwood, and I seem to be one of the few that enjoyed "Wyatt Earp."Alter Ego Comics

What about "Dances with Wolves"? I thought that was good, although I wouldnt watch it again now.
Hmmmmm...an ageing Robin Hood? Maybe he can work on an accent now too eh?
