Hanks comments on Toy Story 3

Empire have Tom Hank's comments from the premiere of The Polar Express about Toy Story 3.

...a few queries about future projects did make it through, and while there was nothing new for Hanks to report (in the 24 hours since the news broke) on his part in The DaVinci Code, he did offer comment on Disney's plans for Toy Story 3.

"Well I don’t know if you can change the DNA on something like Toy Story – it’s not something you can just plug in. Those guys are the grandfathers – they’re not just the generals; they’re actually like the parents of such things. But you never know." And as for Bob's next gig? "You know, every time I’ve gone to a premiere, I’ve never known what I’m going to do next, and it’s the same this time."

Feel free to try and decipher that. Does it mean we don't know he's going to be in three, or he's even been asked? Does it suggest he's in favour of Disney doing it or not? Hanks would make an excellent Politician!

Clear as water: he is reluctant to a Toy Story film not made by Pixar, but it all depends on the money offered. Wise, wise Tom... lol

Yeah, I wasn't sure if he meant "they" to mean Pixar, as in they are the Grandfathers of digital animation and Toy Story, or "Disney" as in they are the Grandfathers of animation.

Thought it could be taken either way.

Tom is more cryptic than Alan Greenspan, certainly. What is "the DNA on Toy Story"?

Those crypticisms always are related with economy lol...

They'll either get somebody else to voice Woody, or they will come up with a story that doesn't have Woody in it. Big star ego problem solved!

I think Tom Hanks is definately a sceptic, and rightfully so. It may come down to money, but i don't think it will. Well at least i hope it doesn't. I don't think you can put a price on the damage that this project will make if all goes ahead. DO WHAT'S RIGHT HANKS!
