Picture of Batman Outfit
Everyone around the web seems to have this picture now. Christian Bale as Batman. I've already read a few people who really dislike the outfit... but personally I think it's great. Man this movie is going to blow the roof off. Chris Nolan hasn't let me down yet.

Give the man a break. He didn't make a lot of movies, but the ones he made were pretty good. Yeah, also insomnia, which for me was not a bad remake at all. I am glad Nolan is taking this dark figure back where he belongs, away from this overhyped pinball atmosphere in the Joel Schumachers versions.Maybe, just maybe, we will see a batman like we have never seen before.

Don't exactly remember the last Batman outfit. Just remember that I liked the movie. Christian Bale will rock as Batman in whatever costume they put him in 'cause it'll be all about what he brings to the role.
Now if we could just get the studio behind The Machinist to release it in more than six theatres...jeesh.

The rubber suit isn't really exciting or disappointing to me but the velvet looking cape is LAME!!

Now he's just a guy in a black rubber suit, like my dad. ;)
But in all seriousness, I'd have to agree with Rob. There's been a lot of hype about the suit, and speaking as a comic book geek, I really don't see what there is to get excited about. It's just another rubber suit. Albeit a black one.
Also - if you've seen pics of the new Batmobile, there seems to be a lot of hype surrounding that - but it just looks silly. Like a tank mated with a skateboard.

I don't think the suit is important - it's the plot, the action, the character development, etc that counts. Bale could wear the best bat suit ever and the film could still suck. Personally I think it looks like how the bat suit should look - surely you don't want him to look like Adam West?

Chris Nolan did let me down with the inferion remake of 'Insomnia'. And actually I have only seen this and Memento [which I really like and own on DVD]. So, I still have mixed fealing about Batman. And the outfit isn't driving me crazy either. Why couldn't they go with the original plain custome that is used in the comics?
