Dallas: The movie in production!
No, please God, say it 'ain't so. Ah, he says it is. Well he didn't but Empire do in a story yesterday.
I can't believe anyone is seriously considering this, and it's gone way past the consideration stage. The show creator David Jacobs with Steel Magnolias Screenwriter Robert Harling, and could you possibly believe that there are talks with Legally Blonde Director Robert Luketic?
Have a look at this Dallas fan site interview with Jacobs for some astounding insights into the show and the movie. (This is so the end of my writing career on the Movieblog!)
Surely this is going to end up as a straight to video...Could it ever work? Please let me wake up in the shower in a few moments and let me have dreamed it all.

I was shocked to read in today's press that Catherine Zeta Jones is to be given the part of Pamela Ewing. Surely someone like Jennifer Lopez would be far more dynamic? Best wishes, Suzanne.

Oh please tell me you didn't just use the words "Jennifer Lopez" and "dynamic" in the same sentence.
In every way, shape and form, Zeta Jones is a far superior actress than "Famous for being Famous" Lopez.
Just my opinion.

Hey John, don't be so dismissive, I thought she was alright in Cell and Out of Sight. I do say alright. Now though she is a "name".

God i hope JLO isn't in the movie. I would like to see Vanessa Marcel as Pam, Casper Van Dien as Ray, Cristian from Nip/Tuck as J.R., Catherine Zeta Jones as Sue Ellen, and Antonio Sabato J.R. as Cliff

also i don't see why richard would have such a big problem with this movie. I think that the original series far outweigh's anything on television today(with Nip/Tuck being the exception),and in a movie format we can see a much different, and more hardcore Dallas. The characters can swear(more than just slut, and tramp), Lucy can do hardcore drugs instead of just pill popping, and maybe, if were really lucky we can have a Pam and Bobby nude scene.
