Collateral Review In Screen Daily

collateral.jpgMichael Mann's Collateral is one of the last big summer films that I really want to see and this review has got me looking forward to it even more ... I thought The Insider was a great film, but it has been a long time since Mann made a crime flick and pretty much nobody does it better than him ...

Wasn't Jamie Foxx's part suspose to go to Adam Sandler?

^^ You better joking... ^^

No, he's not joking. Sandler was in the running, or at least actively pursuing the part, at one point. I remember hearing his name attached to it early on ...

I thought Tom Cruise was disappointing. Jamie Foxx stole the movie from him. What a performance.

Tom Cruise gave the best performance i've ever seen him in. Not only is the acting excellent on all fronts, the story is also one of the most engaging and original i've ever seen, add a great soundtrack and you've created a blockbuster.

I thought it was interesting how they dipict , how insignificant we really are, as he said "a flash, a spect". Gave me that gut feeling when you see something disturbing, gives you a nice reality check. Great roles, good actors and acting, i would give it a 4-5 stars but i think it shoudnt be rated, one of those movies everyone should see with an opinion. Good Movie, worth it.

Adam Sandler in place of Jamie Foxx would've totally ruined the movie. Thank god the casting director knew what he was doing.

the ending was not satisfactory.. audiences had built sympathy over Tom cruise, so it wasnt a perfect ending.

Worst movie i have ever seen.
This is a glorified version of a ps 2 game (Taxi driver).
Strong characters were not backed by story line.
Useless camera shots steal the show.
The movie could have been so much better with a but of twist in it. But no Mr Director know s the perfect bland formula of selling movie.

Not good enough
