We Have A Winner!

Yes, ladies and gentlemen, the polls have closed, a ton of entries were submitted and we have ourselves a winner for our Takashi Miike DVD contest. Thanks to everyone who participated and if you didn't win this time keep your eyes open for another giveaway contest launching next week ... So who won and with what? Well first I present to you our runner-up captions:

KungFuGuy almost made it two for two on contest wins with this entry:
“Not only do you get the carving knife, the set of 4 steak knives, the paring knife and the melon scooper. But if you call in the next 30 minutes we’ll also give you the penile add-on absolutely free. That’s a $29.95 value for free. Watch as our lovely assistant Colin slices through this 1977 American Motors Hornet like it was tin foil”.

From Nick we had this one:
"...dear jane, life is hard in the Yakuza - Tatsuya never gives me the good guns, and Hideo is always scoring the good hits, and well...there's a car at this moment disabling my crotch. Ps - tell mom hi!"

The final runner up entry comes from Joel:
"After years and years of finding creative ways to relieve himself, Homeless Bob took the cake when he mixed his Colt 45 with a bit of red bull and plant fertilizer to create in his kidneys a concentrate urine to piss himself through the middle of a parked car."

And our winner comes from Jeff who tweaked up the photo a bit (hey, I never said you couldn't ...) and came up with this:

“Moses performs a modern-day miracle by parting The Red Sebring.”

Congratulations to Jeff, proud owner of two fine new DVDs.

It sucks being THIS creative doesn't it Nick?
Tonight. You and I in the park. My hair tied up in a black stocking. We'll have ourselves a good old fashioned knife fight. Runners up next time?
Parting the Red Sebring. Very good. Well done Jeff.

Oh, come on! Changing the picture is cheating! The whole point of caption contests is to see what people can come up with for the picture they're given. You've just opened up a big ol' can o' worms here, I think.

Since the contest is based on creativity and humour, something that, stretching across humanity is strictly subjective, one simply says: "His was funniest" and that's the final line.

If you want specifics, the structure of the picture wasn't changed - and the caption (spare the word 'red') would've made just as much sense with out the colour change.

If you REALLY want to be particular, it didn't say you couldn't.
