Wow. This Weeks New Releases Suck.
So I finally got around to checking Metacritic for info on this week's big releases and the news aint good ... for those who don't know how it works Metacritic checks a wide range of reviews for all film releases, assigns each a numerical value based on the number and strength of both positive and negative comments made within each individual review and then averages them out to give you a final score out of 100. It's a quick and dirty way to get a good grasp of what the general critical consensus is on a film ... here are this weeks scores:
Godsend: 22
Envy: 28
Laws of Attraction: 31
The big winner was Mean Girls with a mediocre 61. Ouch.

I like Rotten Tomatoes too, but I've got Metacritic set up to automatically synch to my handheld, so I use it a lot more often ...

I like Metacritic but my all-time fav for movie review percentiles is Rotten Tomatoes Check that one out too....
