"House of 1000 Corpses 2"

Under the category of "Oh for the love of humanity please say this is a joke!", Rob Zombie has announced that he is in the process of making House of a 1000 Corpses 2. As the rest of humanity screams out in unison "WHY!?!?!", MTV reported the following:

The original, Zombie's directorial debut, hit theaters in April and raked in $7.1 million in its first 10 days at the box office. Unlike its predecessor, which was colored with black humor, the sequel will include less comic relief (see "Rob Zombie Says Next 'House' Will Be 'A Lot More Violent' "). "It's a very different film," Zombie said. "It's much darker and more serious. It's a gritty crime movie like [the 1973 Terrence Malick film] 'Badlands.' There's nothing campy or wacky at all."

Personally I think it should be "Corpses 2k4", it has a hip futuristic ring. What I really think is that this thing should be canned before Rob Zombie gets going on it. Does anyone know if the first one made any money in Dvd sales/rentals?

Ummmm well.. let's see.. Nick rented it -- so that's 4.75 right there. Anyone else?

house of 1000 corpses was a great movie!
it was full of fun and laughs and sick humor and a great homage to campy horror flicks of the 70's.
Rob Zombie did a great job with his directorial debut for a feature film, and had a remarkable cast. Bill Moseley, "Choptop" from TCM2, had one of his best roles ever and really sold the character. That and he's just cool in general.
i, personally, loved this movie, and i eagerly await the sequel.
even the music was fantastic, not suprising from Zombie, and the soundtack and dvd have both been excitedly purchased by myself, and i intend to do the same with the sequel.
Bill and Rob never let me down in the past, and i doubt they will this time.
peace out
rock on
piss off

This movie scared the crap outta me! It was okay at first, then about the 4th or 5th time i started to realize how amazingly screwed up it was and how great it is to see it in new movies for a change. Keep makin the flicks Rob!

House of 1000 corpses was one of the best scary movies in a long time. Especially in a world where Brittany Spears and Justin Timberlake are the newest pop icons and movie stars. To all of thoughs who loved the movie, rock on. To everyone who hated it, go right a review on the new Mel Gibson and Meg Ryan movies and hold back your opinions on quality gore you faggots.

Am I reading that right or is that an "If you didn't like it, you're an idiot" post.

In the Context of House of 1000 Corpses no less. Just checking.

Is it freezing in here, or is it just Hell?

House of a 1000 corpses was one on the most original horror movies in years.
Unlike many remakes that have been relased lately Rob Zombie has taken an original idea and made a movie that will become a cult classic I am sure

Cult classic? .. Sadly, yes.

An original Idea?: Absolutely not. 'Corpses' one one big nod to acid-like 70's horror. I believe Rob Zombie would even agree with me there.

This horror flick was crazy!! The satanic laugh of baby was a so stereotipical high school girl that it actually made you teeth chater!

the only reason people dont like House of 1,000 Corpses is because theyre pussies and they cant handle a good movie
