Final Destination 6 will be released for HBO Max. Variety is sharing that MCU Spider-Man trilogy director Jon Watts has found a way to revive the Final Destination franchise! Jon Watts has taken the time to build a nice body of work for himself. Watts is currently enjoying finishing up the Sony MCU Spider-Man trilogy. Now Variety is reporting that Jon Watts will produce and write Final Destination 6:
Fresh from the $1.5 billion–grossing behemoth “Spider-Man: No Way Home,” filmmaker Jon Watts has boarded “Final Destination 6” as a producer for New Line Cinema. Watts’ wife and partner, Dianne McGunigle (“Cop Car”), is also producing, alongside longtime “Final Destination” producers Craig Perry and Sheila Hanahan Taylor.
“Both Dianne and I have been massive fans of ‘Final Destination’ from the very beginning,” Watts said in a statement. “So to be able to have a hand in crafting a new story with the original team and New Line is going to be both fun and exciting.”

Spider-Man No Way Home has gone on to become the 6th highest earning film of all time. Thanks to this success we will get a new Final Destination movie with producer Jon Watts for HBO MAX. Jon Watts is a bit of a wild card for me. I don’t like all of the films written by Jon Watts but I do enjoy his overall style of film directing.
